Resurrect/Resistance

Alma Moyo & Weeksville Heritage Center proudly present Resurrect/Resistance, a visual arts exhibit and musical festival + community inquiry project that explores what communities of African descent need to resurrect from our cultural traditions in order to liberate and heal ourselves. This is an ode to the spirit of maroon warriors, to healing, and to liberation! Join us as we use visual arts, roots drum music, and dance to open the portal to healing ourselves and the world from systemic racism and the legacy of colonialism and enslavement.
